ELECAM has published an online platform to verify entries in the voting register.

Cameroonians can now verify their entries in the voting register via a bilingual online platform published by ELECAM (Elections Cameroon). This was announced on January 06, 2018 via the twitter account of this public institution.

On the platform, Cameroonians in the diaspora or in the country can verify if they are registered in the register and check potential mistakes in the entries.

There is two interface on the platform. The first one is for citizen living in the country. To check their information, they will fill in their council and their NIC number. They also have the option to fill in the region, division, council, polling center, date of birth and name. Here is the link: http://file.elecam.cm/fnat/

The second interface is for Cameroonians living in the diaspora. Here, they can simply enter their registration number or enter the diplomatic post, name, and date of birth.

They can do so here: http://file.elecam.cm/fdias/

The platform is fully functional and the search is quickly done.

Even if the citizen is unable to provide the registration number or the NIC number, he/she can submit the other elements to get the needed results.

Let’s note that since January 2, 2018, registration to the national voting register has started again at the 360 municipal branches in Cameroon. To be able to register, the citizen has to meet these two criteria at least: be at least 20 and has a valid NIC. For the other requirements, please check here: http://www.elecam.cm/education-civique/de-lelectorat.html
