According to rumours, the new American president declared that he has no idea on what to discuss with the Cameroonian Head of State or Robert Mugabe, of Zimbabwe, due to their longevity in power.

Africa has a problem. Don’t understand how someone can be president for 34 yrs. Not sure what conversation to have with #Mungabe or #Biya”. Presumed author of this tweet: Donald J. Trump. This message in English posted on 3 January 2017 is currently creating a buzz on social networks in Cameroon.

If the photo and name associated with this post on Twitter present similarities with Donald Trump, the American Head of State, after checking the facts, it is just a message from a fake twitter account. Indeed, after going through the nine tweets posted by Mr Trump since 3 January 2017, Africa is mentioned nowhere, and even less so Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe and Paul Biya of Cameroon.

That day, the US President posted messages criticising the public health policy of his predecessor Barack Obama (Obama Care). Or a message to assure Americans that Korea will be prevented from developing a nuclear weapon capable of reaching the USA.

Finally, a little detail, the name of Robert Mugabe is misspelled (Mnugabe). Coming from the official account of the president of the most powerful country in the world, this is an oddity which supports the idea of a “fake” Donald Trump account.
