This special donation to 500,000 students will take certainly take place during the 2016-2017 school year for a total value of FCfa 75 billion. The beneficiaries are students registered in any public or private university academy based in Cameroon, as declared in the communiqué issued by the Ministry of Tertiary Education, and the supplier is the Chinese company Sichuan Telecom Construction Engineering Co Ltd, according to the agreement signed on 27 July 2016 between both parties.

This computer donation is a one-off action by the Head of State, which only concerns the 2016-2017 academic year, to enable students to get on board with information technologies.

According to our sources, this donation will be effective from December 2016, on condition of presenting the transcript from the previous year and a valid student ID card.
