An internationally recognized diploma will be awarded at the end of the course

The Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Yaoundé launched, on March 3, 2020, a course in gynaecological endoscopy.

This 2-year course will alternate in four 10-day theoretical sessions and 3 to 6 months practical internships every year.

This course offers new opportunities for health professionals and patients.

Once the course is completed, an internationally recognized diploma will be awarded. This diploma is the result of an agreement signed in 2019 by the ISGE, the University of Yaoundé I and the Hospital Center CHRACERH.

The diploma will be co-signed by the Ministry of Higher Education, the International Society of Endoscopic Surgery (ISGE), and the University of Yaoundé I and the Chracerh.

At the end of the inaugural session, 52 surgical operations were performed.

"Endoscopic surgery restores the sacredness of the human body and its physical integrity," said Prof. Jean Marie Kasia, Executive Director of Chracerh and President of the African Society of gynaecological endoscopists, quoted by the government daily Cameroon tribune.
