Since March 9, 2018, when Cameroon decided at the last minute to cancel the Cameroon international cycling tour, many people claimed that the International Cycling Union (UCI) removed this competition from the agenda of international cycling competitions.

However, this is not true. Indeed, on April 4, 2018, the president of Cameroon’s cycling federation FECACYCLISME, Honoré Yossi explained that the International Cycling Union has authorized Cameroon to reschedule the tour it canceled earlier. This tour should be organized from May 26 to June 3, 2018, according to Honoré Yossi.

The man further explained that the UCI asked Cameroon to keep that date range for the organization of the Cameroon cycling tour in the future. So, all the other claims are false.
