It is said that the famous Cameroonian singer, Charlotte Dipanda, is going into movies.

Indeed, the author of “Mispa” (her first album), will appear in River Hotel Kinshasa, a Pan African TV series to be broadcast from February 2017 on TV5 Monde.

Information which can be checked through the Facebook account of her now-colleague, Habi Touré, an actress and producer of Senegalese and Central African origin. On 23 August, Habi Touré generated a lot of interest by revealing some images of the shooting of the series River Hotel Kinshasa.

This is a co-production between the television channel TV5 Monde and HD Production. Charlotte Dipanda plays the role of Laure, a young woman torn by her love for a man. The scenes are mostly taking place in an hotel.

Indeed, River Hotel Kinshasa “talks about life and all that can happen in a big hotel in Kinshasa”, informs Habi Touré, a little enigmatic on a website. This series is produced by Congolese Dider Ndenga.

The cast also features well-known Congolese singer Fally Ipupa, talented actress Nadia Beausson Ndiaye, Ghanaian actor Majid Michel.

In Cameroon, singers are easily seduced by cinema. There was Longuè Longuè and very recently Lady Ponce in the film “Rose on a grave” and Kareyce Fotso who appeared in “Immersion” by young director Frank Olivier Ndema. That being said, they are still not giving up singing.
