It is said that this renowned market in Douala flared up on November 13, 2018. True or not?

No, there was no fire outbreak at Mboppi market, Douala. It was a motorbike which flared up on the terrace that divides the road near the market. A witness recounts that it took many buckets of water to extinguish the fire. "A persistent fire", the witness says without mentioning the massive traffic jam caused by the incident. Finally, the incident caused more fear than casualties.

In April 2015, it was a cab which flared up in broad daylight near that large wholesale market where many fire outbreaks occurred.
