A fake recruitment ad currently shared on WhatsApp suggests that telecom operator MTN Cameroon is recruiting 100 brand ambassadors in Douala this month of April 2019.
According to the fake ad, interested persons are required to submit their resume and two copies of their ID card. Files are to be submitted by calling 6 54 97 71 41 and 6 90 14 66 18 which are supposed to be the recruiter’s phone numbers. But MTN denies this info saying the company is “hiring no brand ambassadors this month and has not approved any intermediaries to help recruit on WhatsApp.”
The company calls each and every one to be wary of such ads.
