If you are looking for a site to sell foreign currencies online, you can easily find one. For coins used on the Cameroonian market, sites available include “delcampe.net” from Luxembourg, “comptoir-des-monnaies.com” from France, etc.
The first offers a CFA100 coin from Cameroon dated 1967, sold at around CFA5,897 while the second trades a CFA100 coin dated 1972 at €60, about CFA40,000. The coin is available in 1550 copies, the site said. The supply chain is not specified though.
These might be platforms dedicated to numismatists (coin collectors or historians/anthropologists) who study them to trace history. While some sites sell old currency, most also offer recent coins that are still used on the local market.
