Sometimes, Cameroonians block public roads for days or for a weekend to organize a meeting, funerals or family celebration because they have been authorized to hold those celebrations. However, this is illegal and to stop this, Gilbert Tsimi Evouna, government’s delegate to Yaoundé urban community published a note on April 16, 2018.
In the note, he reminds that the permits to hold celebrations could not constitute a pretext to occupy public roads for days and disrupt the traffic. He, therefore, warns that any citizen who does so will be punished according to the law in force.
He concluded saying that he was counting on the citizenship of every resident to respect that measure. Let’s hope that they listen…
