Beware of scammers who claim they can recruit people into the civil service on behalf of Minister Joseph Lé

Paru le vendredi, 13 mars 2020 12:43

Beware, some scammers claim they can recommend people to Joseph Lé, the Minister of the Public Service and Administrative Reform, to get such people directly into the civil service. All those willing to be recommended have to do is to pay “insurance fees” of XAF250,000, the scammers pretend.

Once the “insurance fees” have been paid, the victim just has to go to the human resources management department of the Ministry of Public Service for the required formalities to start working, they add.

To fine-tune their scheme, these scammers have even published a statement supposedly signed by Joseph Lé, inviting those who have been recommended to come to his ministerial department by March 25, 2020, for “direct integration” into the civil service.

For the untrained eyes, the statement being shared on social media can seem genuine. Yet, this is another job scam. Recruitments into the Cameroonian civil services are done per the rules set by the Prime Minister, not via recommendations. Beware then!
