As many claim on social networks, Chinese Huawei is truly currently recruiting in Cameroon. In a statement dated 13 Jan 2020, Felix Watching, director of the national university of posts, telecommunications, communication and information technologies (Sup’Ptic), revealed that the telecom giant will carry out an exam to recruit interns on February 5, 2020, at 12 PM. 

According to the director, “the test concerns young Cameroonians with a masters in telecommunications or ICT.” All those willing to take part in the exam must submit their applications at the Sup’Ptic’s schooling office. Each application must include a CV with a phone number, email address, and a copy of the applicant's national ID. Applications can be submitted between January 13 and 24, at 2PM. 

However, unlike some claim, applicants don’t have to pay any fee to submit their applications. 

Yaoundé’s Sup’Ptic will be the first Cameroonian higher education institution to have its students certified by the Huawei ICT Academy. The latter is actually a program under which the Chinese manufacturer cooperates with more than 300 universities worldwide, and trains more than 10,000 students yearly.
