It might appear fake but it’s true. The Faculty of Juridical and Political Science (Fsjp) of the University of Yaoundé II, Soa region, was the worst university department of Cameroon in 2018, according to the ministry of higher education.
The ranking, conducted by the Directorate of University Accreditations and Quality, included 48 departments of both private and public universities, and rated Fsjp 00/72 points. It was based on criteria such as the training policy, students’ life in the institutions, research policy and social responsibility.
The top five best performing university departments are the Douala University Institute of Technology (IUT) with 72/72, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Falsh) at Dschang University with 64/72, Ecole nationale supérieure polytechnique (Enstp) of the University of Maroua with a score of 63/72, Ecole normale supérieure de Maroua (ENS) with 60/72 and the University Institute of Technology (IUT) of Ngaoundéré (59/72).
