Is the UNHCR really recruiting 1961 agents??

Big fake news! The High Commissioner for Refugees is not recruiting 1961 seasonal employees, said Xavier Bourgois, member of the communication unit of the United Nations Refugee Agency in Cameroon. “There is no such massive recruitment underway,” he added.

The news however is spreading and applications are sent en masse to the link Cette adresse e-mail est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. Vous devez activer le JavaScript pour la visualiser. which is the so-called recruitment's  e-mail address “jointly with the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHIA).” The fake offer specifies that of the 1961 agents aged 21 to 35 to be hired, 350 will be recruited in Cameroon.

“These are false documents. It's to scam people. They are required to pay money, supposedly for the costs of the files,” Mr. Bourgois warned.

The announcement also mentioned a monthly allowance of €730 (CFA485,450), a health insurance of €300, among others. To appear real the document is marked by logos of UNHCR, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the World Bank. Unfortunately, many fall into the trap.
