Customs revenue: DGD sets collection target at CFAF95.2 bln for August 2023

This month, the Directorate General of Customs (DGD) plans to collect around CFAF95.2 billion in revenues. Of the DGD's 13 customs sectors, the Littoral I sector is expected to account for the largest share, with 63.4 billion CFAF to be mobilized. The South II sector comes second with 21 billion CFAF expected, followed by the Littoral II sector with 6 billion CFAF.

The lowest contribution is expected from the North-West sector with 40 million CFAF, followed by the Adamaoua sector with 64 million CFAF while 65 million CFAf must be mobilized by the West Customs sector.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance reports that "between January and June 2023, the General Directorate of Customs (DGD) of the Ministry of Finance mobilized CFAF486.4 billion,” exceeding the CFAF470.4 billion target.  

For 2023, the finance act forecasts over CFAF1,000 billion of costumes revenues.
