Recently, some social media users started sharing this link https://bit.ly/3bNalc6 as the registration portal for the April 2020 session of the African Institute of Informatics’ (IAI Cameroon) entrance exam. According to the institute, this link is fake.
“It is a hacking technic through which the hacker can collect your confidential information by cloning a well-known platform or website,” explains Armand Claude Abanda, resident representative of the IAI in Cameroon.
This technic, called phishing, is notably used by hackers to obtain victims’ details, via e-mail or websites, to impersonate an individual, an administration or a company.
The resident representative explains that information about the said exam can be found on this link: http://iaicameroun.com/concours-iaicameroun/.
