On March 31, Du Yin, General Manager of Huawei-Cameroon met, in Yaoundé, with Cameroon’s Minister of Public Health Malachie Manaouda.
According to the official, the Chinese technology company offered face masks and a high-tech equipment for quick diagnosis of Covid-19 cases.
“Thanks to the artificial intelligence tool, medical teams can diagnose up to 100 patients daily,” Malachie Manaouda reveals.
This donation comes days after the one made by Chinese billionaire Jack Ma who founded Alibaba, the world leader in the e-commerce sector. The founder donated to each of the 54 African countries, 20,000 test kits, 100,000 masks, and 1,000 protective equipment. Cameroon’s share was delivered last month by Ethiopian Airlines.
