Last July 5th, the national military women’s football team was defeated in the World Military Women's Championship semi-finals. They lost to South Korea with a score of 4-0 in Spakenburg, Netherlands. The Cameroonian military women's team thus exits the championship after a flawless performance, dominating Group C with three wins in three matches.
First, on June 29th, the team defeated Belgium (2-0) with a brace by Brenda Ebika Tabe, the forward player was crowned top scorer of the 2022 edition of the championship. It then overcame the United States on July 1st (4-2), before concluding the group stage matches on July 3rd with a victory over Germany (4-0), thanks mainly to a brace from midfielder Confidence Bongben Buh.
Cameroon finished the first phase with 9 points. Nonetheless, it fell short of last year's achievement when it reached the final in its debut edition. In that edition, it finished as the runners-up, after losing to France (2-1).
