PRC TV, the official TV channel of the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, announces a special evening program today, November 6. The program will celebrate President Paul Biya’s 41st year in power. According to the civil cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, the program includes a news broadcast, "snapshots of a Cameroon on the move" and later a major debate on the President's achievements over 41 years in power, with the participation of some twenty personalities –the cabinet does not name the speakers expected for that debate.
In a press release dated November 3, Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, Director of the Civil Cabinet, announced that "a group of approximately twenty prominent figures will engage in enlightening discussions on the PRC TV platform, sharing their diverse perspectives."
The release informs that in addition to celebrating the 41st anniversary, the special evening aims to move the TV channel to a new stage in its development because it is still in its early stages. The channel was launched by the civil cabinet on November 4, 2022. It aims to promote the actions of the Head of State and those of the First Lady, Chantal Biya, who is deeply involved in humanitarian work through the Chantal Biya Foundation and other institutions like the Chantal Biya International Reference Center.
