The Cameroonian Ministry of External Affairs (Minrex) informs that the State has allowed the repatriation of at least 545 Cameroonians temporarily abroad (mission, medical reasons, internship, transit...) in the context of the current covid-19 pandemic.

“The government, which thanked its bilateral partners, such as the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of Kenya, the United States of America, Chad, CAR, Gabon and Congo for their happy cooperation, as well as Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways, continues to collaborate with other partners to bring our compatriots in distress back to the cradle of our ancestors,” Minrex said.

According to the minister, the passengers were immediately taken care of by the Ministry of Health’s teams and placed under quarantine for 14 days, under medical supervision exactly as prescribed by the World Health Organization.
