The second edition of the Part’Âges festival, initiated to celebrate culture through live shows, is scheduled for October 28-30, 2021 in Yaounde. The theme of the festival is “Femme, art: enjeux et défis” (Women in arts: implications and challenges)

The program of the festival presented during a press conference on October 5 plans a strong involvement of women through music, choreography, storytelling, and dramaturgy.

Through the platform ‘’Sage-femme’’ which aims to promote arts competition, share good dramaturgy practices, participants will watch various arts.

To boost collaboration between women artists, the organizers announce five conferences that will be hosted by German and Cameroonian directors, writers, and playwrights.

Also, a platform aimed at supporting young creators and “Esani” funeral dancers will pay tribute to great Cameroonian dramatists like Guillaume Oyono Mbia and Wakeu Fogaing who are no more. The program also includes a percussion workshop to introduce children to traditional rhythms and instruments such as tam-tam, djembe, and balafon.

Organized by Kogn'art and Compagnie rouge, the Part’Âges festival aims to contribute to the promotion and reorganization of arts by placing a particular emphasis on training and professionalization for young artists in Cameroon in particular, and Central and West Africa in general. By encouraging such festivals, the organizers also intend to boost culture mixing.
