The American sports channel ESPN recently announced that Cameroonian-born MMA fighter Francis Ngannou and British Tyson Fury had finally reached an agreement. The two men will face each other on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to ESPN. Since the news broke, it has spread like wildfire. French media L'Équipe even talks of a fight between "two of the biggest stars in their respective disciplines."

MMA fighter Francis Ngannou, 36 years old, is a former UFC heavyweight champion who recently signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Boxer Tyson Fury, 34 years old, holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight world title. The former has never hidden his desire to face a top-ten world-ranked boxer in a ring. Also, the latter has always expressed his wish to challenge Francis Ngannou. The two men even exchanged friendly banter on social media last year.

ESPN reveals that the two fighters have finally reached an agreement. But the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed yet. Evidence suggests that it will be an exhibition fight similar to the one between Conor Anthony McGregor, one of the most popular MMA fighters, and former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Pending further details on the showdown scheduled for October 28th, bets are being placed all around. The odds are in favor of the Briton because he is currently at the top of his game. As proof, he completely demolished his compatriot Dereck Chisora in December 2022. According to many analysts, Francis Ngannou will have a hard time transitioning from MMA techniques to boxing techniques. They believe this will slow him.
