The Directorate of National Meteorology (DMN) has just published a note warning about the risks of flooding and landslides following heavy rainfalls in most parts of the country. The DMN notes that "significant cumulative rainfalls have been recorded in the southern, central and western parts of the country, with a total of more than 130 mm of rain recorded in Kribi in four days.”

In addition, the moderate winds expected in the north could cause "an upheaval of dust particles causing the formation of haze and leading to the deterioration of air quality […] Diseases such as cough, flu, colds, cholera, typhoid in rainy areas could increase," warns the DMN. As for agriculture, it is advised not to cultivate on hillsides, or to irrigate plants, because "rains and winds could lead to soil erosion and destruction of crops.
