On the night of September 25 to 26, 2021, some Boko Haram members attacked Sagme, in Fotokol, Northern Cameroon, according to regional tri-weekly Œil du Sahel.
In a Twitter post, the media announced at least three assailants were dead and three soldiers wounded. Today Monday, September 27, one of the wounded soldiers died of his injuries, security sources stress.
They also announced that in the same night, elements of the elite force BIR were ambushed at Gozon Gozon, in the Far North. The elite force killed two assailants and recovered a rifle and a box of ammunition. Unfortunately, the BIR also lost one of its elements.
This is not the first time Sagme is being attacked. In July 2021, two similar attacks were perpetrated killing several soldiers, we learn.
