There is a current ad circulating in Cameroon that suggests the national employment fund (FNE) is recruiting 500 young people. According to the ad, interested persons should pay CFA15,000 as application cost.

Well, this is yet another scam aiming at extorting money from job seekers, sources at the FNE said. All FNE services are free of charge. Therefore, there are no fees to be paid at the agency or through electronic payment services for any job application. For any reliable information relating to employment, it is preferable to contact the FNE agencies or to refer to the digital platforms of this public employment service.
