Yaoundé, the Cameroonian capital, hosted on November 22 the 32nd edition of the Africa Industrialization Day. The event was placed under the theme “Industrialization Africa: Renewed Commitments towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification”.

Speaking on this occasion, the Minister of Industry, Gabriel Dodo Ndoke (pictured) said Cameroon could leverage its industry sector to achieve emergence. "Cameroon has plenty of resources but is still poor. If these resources are transformed, there will be jobs to offer young people. Employment is emergence," he said. "Cameroon adopted in 2020 the NDS30, which is built on a structural transformation of the national productive fabric to boost sustainable industrialization,” the official recalled. According to him, additional reforms are needed to complement the NDS30. "The course of emergence requires a great willingness and a real change of paradigm induced by the reforms," said the Minister of Economy, Alamine Ousmane Mey.
