Has the Voice Afrique been definitely stopped?

It is said that the musical TV show has been definitely stopped. True?

On October 14, 2017, the adventure started on a good note with the launch of the 2nd season of The Voice Afrique francophone.  For weeks, tens of singers from 16 African countries (Cameroon included) took part in a very selective vocal contest till November 2017. The nominee was to be declared on January 27, 2018, but, it was not the case.

At the end of November 2017, the show has been stopped at the Battles stage (candidates who have the same coach are confronted and the best are selected by the mentor). On January 26, 2018, VoxAfrica which holds the production and distribution rights from The Voice in Francophone Africa (for five consecutive seasons beforehand), published a statement to reassure the public.

“On our continent, such major programme is sometimes confronted with challenges but, they will soon be resolved”, the statement revealed. VoxAfrica is enigmatic on the resuming date but it suggests that the show will resume.  “Not willing to give information which could change, we will communicate the essential when it is definitely confirmed and set”, the statement continues.

In front of an interruption which was taking longer than planned, the finalists have recently signed a petition which leads to this statement from Voxafrica.
