Beware of this new job scam

Paru le jeudi, 14 avril 2022 11:08

Scammers never tire of constantly finding new ways to steal from people. A fake memo is currently circulating on social media announcing the upcoming selection of 117 airport security officers. According to this document bearing the logo of the CCAA, the job is open to Cameroonians aged between 19 and 45 years who hold at least a junior secondary school diploma (BEPC).

When selected, applicants are asked to provide CFA30,000 representing “medical examination" fees. The ad is of course fake, CCAA is not currently recruiting any security officers.

Job scams are recurrent in Cameroon. To protect yourself, it is strongly recommended that you do not pay any money and that you contact the company that seems to be behind the ad to get reliable information. You must also protect your information on your computer to prevent any risk of it being hacked.
