The African Forum of Inventors and Innovators is scheduled to take place from 27 to 28 August 2020 in Cameroon. As a prelude to the forum, the AfricAvenir International Foundation in Douala welcomed about 20 inventors and innovators from various African countries.
To exchange on their inventions and innovations, they worked on various themes, such as “the value of the African genius,” “Africa of inventions since the dawn of time” or “The financial framework of inventions and innovations.” According to the president of the AfricAvenir International Foundation, these lines of thought prove that Africa is ready to take part in a major global scientific debate.
In this context of coronavirus, inventors and innovators argue that the products of the African pharmacopoeia are producing tangible results that could help Africa resist the disease.
The greatest challenge then remains the mobilization of States and the paradigm shift in the content of training in science faculties and other medical schools.
