A private gas distribution company granted more than CFA52 million to support the extension of the Logbaba district hospital in Douala. According to a report submitted to the Minister of Public Health (Minsanté), the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Gaël Ngnegue Plong, said works include the construction of a modular conference room of 120 seats that can serve as a triage room in emergency and disaster situations, a pool of surgical and medical emergencies, ENT and odontostomatology services, an eye clinic, pharmacy, ticketing, and a guardhouse.

This project, which is to be delivered in December, will increase the hospital's capacity by 12 additional places and increase the range of medical services. The health center had already increased its oxygen supply thanks to a grant from a chocolate company. Dr. Gaël Ngnegue Plong also “announced the imminent commissioning of the scanner, the installation of which depends on the completion of administrative procedures and the signing of a formal agreement between the partner and the Management Committee of the hospital.
