According to some rumors, the bishop is raising funds to finance his trips to Canada.

Jacques Emmanuel Ndong Ewane, chancellor of Bafang diocese’s bishop informs that for months now, some individuals have been fraudulently using the identity and position of Mgr Abraham kome, bishop of Bafang’s diocese on Facebook to raise funds for a trip to Canada.

"Some victims say that they exchanged with the scammers on the following numbers: 00414388079403 and 0032462834940. Yesterday [November 25, 2018], we were told that the Canadian number +12267987018 was particularly active on WhatsApp and involves the bishop in ignominious practices”, the chancellor said.

Jacques Emmanuel Ndong Ewane reminds that the bishop has never opened the Facebook account "Mgr Abraham Kome" and is therefore not the author of the messages sent via this fraudulent account. He then invited the population to be more vigilant and directly contact the Diocesan chancery on 6 75 92 70 49 for a real and secured communication with the bishop.
