The host of the urban channel FM 105 of CRTV-Littoral and man of culture Léonard Châtelain, promoter of the Diversité Media Culture (DMC) cabinet, announced during a meeting with the press on 18 February in Douala, the organization of an evening called ‘Lilies of Diversity’ on 21 May 2020 in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon.

The event will award 30 winners from the sectors of banking, insurance, arts and culture, media, etc. who distinguished themselves in the promotion of national integration during the year 2019.

This initiative was born out of the observation made by the promoter of DMC that many Cameroonian companies are family-owned, just as their employees are mostly from the geographical area of origin of the bosses.

“We cannot claim to have Cameroonian diversity, 250 ethnic groups, and not ask ourselves whether our company promotes diversity in the recruitment of human resources, in training, etc. (...) Because most companies in Cameroon are only family businesses,” observes Léonard Châtelain.

The host also points to the fact that in most Cameroonian cities, there are still neighborhoods based on ethnic groups.
